Bad Ischl is home to the Salzkammergut Golf Club, one of the oldest in Austria, is just 10 minutes drive from Haus Strutzenberger . The club has an excellent 18 hole course, practice green, driving range  and welcoming clubhouse with restaurant. Next to the club is the Franz Laimer Golf School which has indoor and outdoor training facilities. The golf courses of Mondsee, Fuschl and Bad Aussee are all within easy reach.

FAQ's

Do I need a handicap certificate?
Yes the Salzkammergut Golf Club requires a handicap certificate.
Is there a dress code at the club?
The club requires smart dress in the clubhouse. Jeans and trainers are not allowed on the course or in the club house.
Soft spikes?
Soft spikes are required at all times
Can I hire clubs?
Yes
Are there golf buggies?
Yes
Can I book more rounds?
Yes, but you are strongly advised to do this before you arrive, to ensure you get a tee time.
Where can I store my golf clubs?
Golf clubs can be stored at Haus Strutzenberger when you don't need them with you
