November 23rd - December 23rd Salzkammergut Advent
A magical time in the run up to Christmas. Bad Ischl plays hosts to
candlelight shopping and skating on an outdoor skating rink.

November 22nd - December 24th Salzburg Advent Markets
Each day in advent Salzburg plays host to a wonderful advent market. Stalls
laden with Christmas gifts, music and traditional events.

Short Breaks
February and March are "Fasching" Carnival time in Bad Ischl
- parades and events through these two months.
Spring
Bad Ischl is home to the Landaustellung
from April to October 2008. There will be events and exhibitions in the town
throughout this period.

Every summer Bad Ischl hosts
the Lehar Operetta Festival.
For 2008 full scale
professional productions of “The Gypsy Baron” (Music by Johann Strauss II)
and “Der Zarewitsch” (Music by Franz Lehar) will be performed, along with a
host of other musical events around the area. If you would like to combine

August 13th-18th Kaiser Festival - "Alles Kaiser -Oder?"
A whole week of celebrations to celebrate Bad Ischl's associations with Kaiser.
The highlight is the Kaiserbummel , when all the main streets of the town are
covered in red carpet! Great fun!
Autumn
September 1st - Mid October Harvest Celebrations
Farmer's markets, sales of local produce, celebrations to mark bring the cattle
down from the hills for the winter. A great time to visit this region of
Austria and enjoy some of it's traditional products.

October 5th-14th K.U.K. Hofbankett
Historic dinner show with amazing entertainment
October 26th World Culture Walking Day
The day when the whole of Austria seems to put their walking boots on and head
